EVENT: MEGA BLOGGING MARATHON#92 THEME: A-Z  FLATBREADS AND MORE – INDIAN FLATBREADS I had just about finished typing out some of the other posts for the BM and was about to go to bed when I see a message from Priya Suresh that my dalpuri recipe is missing. I check on my mobile and true, there was no recipe or nothing written. Quick I switch on the computer to recheck and same, not a word except for one picture and the title…that’s all. Disappointment, anger and sleep disappearance all rolled in one. Disappointment because this was one recipe I had typed out a week ago, angry because I should have left the spelling error. Was trying to rectify that when the internet disappeared and my…

EVENT: BREAD BAKERS THEME : BREAKFAST BREADS August is when the theme for Bread Bakers was Breakfast Breads. These include yeast or quick breads, pancakes, muffins, scones, flatbreads etc. This exciting theme was chosen by fellow baker Felice Geoghegan who blogs at All That’s Left Are The Crumbs. If you are ever looking for recipes to make bundt cakes, cakes, muffins, cookies, breads then that’s the blog you have to check out. I can assure you that drooling will be at the maximum. When I think of breakfast breads few options pop up immediately in my head from buttery croissants, scones to Indian flatbreads. I was visiting my son in Montreal and whenever I’m there I go crazy buying all sorts of berries. The day…

EVENT: SHHH COOKING SECRETLY THEME: JHARKHAND CUISINE Jharkhand, a relatively new state in the east part of India which was carved out of southern Bihar in the year 2000 means the land of forests. My son in law comes from that state and whenever his mum shares photos of their outings, it showcases the beauty of Jharkhand. Rich in wildlife, waterfalls and forests, this state is also rich in minerals like iron, coal, mica, graphite, limestone, dolomite, asbestos to name a few. The capital city for Jharkhand is Ranchi, the town where the famous cricketeer Dhoni comes from and of course where my son in law comes from. Did you know that Jamshedpur, the first planned industrial city in India has no municipal corporation as…

EVENT: RECIPE SWAP CHALLENGE THEME: RECIPE SWAP – 1 I’ve actually got a lot on my plate at the moment where blogging is concerned as I’m constantly busy with some group or the other. Initially I was two minded about joining this group simply because I thought I may not be able to cope. However, the main reason I joined is that I have bookmarked so many recipes from fellow bloggers that I rarely get the opportunity to go back to them and actually make it. However, this group gives me that opportunity. This is my first entry for the group and I was paired with Sasmita who blogs at First Timer Cook. Her blog is full of recipes both Indian and International Vegetarian Dishes.…
