STRAWBERRY YOGURT SHERBET

Strawberry Yogurt Sherbet is an easy to make, healthy, quick, cooling, refreshing frozen treat. Add the ingredients in a blender or food processor and sherbet is ready within minutes. And the best part is that no refined sugar is used. I like to use either maple syrup or honey.

Ingredients
  

  • 16 oz frozen strawberries about 4 cups
  • ½ - ¾ cups greek yogurt
  • ¼ cup maple syrup or honey
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice

Instructions
 

  • Add strawberries, maple syrup, lemon juice and yogurt in a blender.
  • Blend the mixture till the strawberries are crushed and the mixture is smooth.
  • Serve the sherbet immediately.
  • Or transfer the sherbet into a freezable container.
  • Leave it in the freezer till required.
  • To serve, remove the strawberry yogurt sherbet from the freezer.
  • Leave it at room temperature for 10 minutes or less if your kitchen is too hot.
  • Scoop the sherbet into serving bowls.
  • Enjoy. Can drizzle some balsamic glaze over the sherbet before serving. Tastes really good.

Notes

  • To freeze strawberries, wash and hull them. Place them on a tray or a container in a single layer and freeze. Once frozen you can store them in a bag or container in the freezer.
  • Use more honey or maple syrup if the strawberries are a bit sour.
  • Can use frozen mixed berries. mango, or other fruits.
