MANGO ORANGE SMOOTHIE

Mango Orange Smoothie is a healthy, filling, creamy and delicious smoothie that you can enjoy for breakfast or as a snack. Sometimes when it is too hot, I prefer to have a smoothie for lunch. Provides the required nutrients, is filling but not heavy on the stomach and best of all refreshingly cooling.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup frozen diced mango
  • cups chilled fresh orange juice
  • 1 tbsp sugar or honey
  • pinch salt optional

Instructions
 

  • Peel and cut a mango into tiny cubes. Put it in a freezer bag or container and freeze it.
  • Squeeze some orange juice and leave it in the fridge to chill.
  • Add the frozen mango cubes, orange juice, salt and maple syrup or honey.
  • Blend to a smooth consistency in a blender jug.
  • Serve cold.

Notes

  • Always have some fruit ready in the freezer to turn it into a smoothie.
  • Try mango banana smoothie. Add the frozen fruits to some milk or yogurt.
  • To make it into a filling breakfast smoothie add 2-4 tbsp of oats and blend.
  • If the mango and orange are a bit sour you may need to add more sweetener.
  • Add some cumin or cinnamon powder for added flavour.
