• Pineapple Coconut Virgin Mojito Float

Cheers!    Go to any party, bar, pub, lounge, restaurant, reception, and you’ll see people clinking their glasses and saying cheers. Whether young or old, men or women, kids or adults all raise their glasses, filled with alcoholic or non alcoholic drinks to toast a host or for general good wishes to all present.   The word cheers originates from the French word chiere which meant face or head. By 18th century it meant gladness and was used as a way for encouragement. Today cheers is simply a way of wishing one or a group, good health and happiness.    It is believed that glasses were raised up as an offering of wine to the Gods. Refreshingly Chilli Its time to post the Fantastical Food Fight recipe. For the month of August Sarah wanted us to use Rum in our food preparation. Superlicious  Theme: Explore Latin American Cuisine BM #77 Week 2 Day 1 Its my first time to join the Blogging Marathon. I’ve known about this group for quite a while as I follow most of the members. However, all this time I did not join the group as I found that perhaps blogging 6 new recipes in a month on specific days is a big challenge. However, I’ve just taken the plunge and am going to try out the waters. So what is this group all about? Well, it was started by Srivalli who blogs at Cooking for all Seasons and at Spice your life. Members blog for any 2 weeks but for 3 consecutive days on chosen themes. For my first theme I chose…

  • 647. Cherry Cobbler Parfait

    May 17, 2017mayurisjikoni

Precious Cherries For the month of May, the Fantastical Food Fight theme was Cherry Cobbler. As I read that, I thought here’s another month I’ll have to sit out (last month was BLT and being a vegetarian B was certainly out for me). I asked if I could use glaced cherries and the reply was yes. However, wasn’t feeling too happy about using them. So I waited practically till the last minute still deciding what to make. The charming thing about this group is that you don’t have to participate monthly. Last Saturday I went to the local vegetable shop and I saw a whole big carton of cherries smiling at me. I asked the price and nearly fainted. Cherries are not tropical and so they…
