Do we cook a western dish with some desi twist to it or cook a desi (Indian) dish and give it a western twist.   • Tawa Pulao

    I first came across the recipe for tawa pulao on Jolly’s blog. I made it the way she did and the family loved it. Last year when I was in Mumbai, we’d go for a walk on Juhu beach nearly everyday till I managed to trip on a brick buried in the sand and fractured my toe! Hubby doesn’t like to eat from the canteens at Chowpatty but I get so tempted with all the aromas and colors. Once, we stopped by to buy a bottle of water and saw how tawa pulao was made. Its one of the simplest recipes ever if you have leftover rice and some leftover pav bhaji masala. I love how they cook the pav bhaji on those gigantic tawas.…
